K2, our Hungarian Kuvasz (read here about this breed), and I were hiking on a lonely Etobicoke Creek Trail that meandered through the city of Brampton along the Etobicoke Creek. Since it passed through the busy sections of the city at a lower elevation, we were spared of the traffic and hustle and bustle of the city. It seemed that we were hiking through a sparsely populated mini-wilderness.
Here are some photos from the hike northwards from north of Main Street and Steels Road intersection to Main Street and Queens Street intersection where the creek turned so narrow that I felt it was no point moving further north.

We started our return hike at about 6 pm.

The following two shots of a mallard duck and eastern cottontail rabbit were taken at about 7:30 pm in a bushy area.

BY 8:00 pm the lights were on.

For the final stretch of the return journey, we hiked on the Main Street in Brampton.

Information on the creek
Etobicoke Creek flows down from Brampton in the north all the way south where it falls into Lake Ontario at Marie Curtis Park. For almost all through Mississauga, it acts as a boundary, separating this city from Etobicoke in the east.
